At the Conference „Analysis of sectoral regulations and elaboration of a plan for their harmonization with the new Law on Personal Data Protection“, that was organized in Belgrade, the „Analysis of Data Protection in Employment Relations“ with the recommendations for harmonization of sectoral regulations, by the authors Rosana Lemut Strle from Slovenia and Nevena Ružić, experts in personal data protection, was presented.
In the presence of the representatives of the government authorities, representatives from the region dealing with personal data protection, and representatives of the civil society, Sanja Unković, Deputy Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, presented the practice of the Commissioner in the mentioned area, while the authors of the Analysis presented key findings presented in the publication. Milan Marinović, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, assessed in the foreword to the publication that, in addition to analyzing the current situation, possible solutions have been proposed that will certainly contribute and speed up the process of adopting a plan with harmonization of sectoral regulations with the Law on Personal Data Protection.
The conference was organized by the Office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection and with the support of the multi-donor project „Facility Supporting Strengthening Rule of Law in the Republic of Serbia“ (EU FOR FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION AND FOR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS), jointly funded by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), whose implementation is in charge of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
