The two-day workshop on international investment Policies and Investor – state dispute settlement (ISDS) took place on 24-25 January 2023 in Vienna. The workshop is part of the regional efforts to strengthen the mechanisms for ISDS in the western Balkans. Representatives from Ministries of Justices, Ministries of Economies and Finances, Ministries for International Trade, State Attorneys Offices, Ministries of Foreign Affairs gathered to discuss on the main challenges of ISDS mediation in their respective countries and policy reforms on ISDS. Renowned experts from International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), Dirección General del Servicio Jurídico, SCC, Stockholm University and KNOETZL provided great insights on the main developments within the key institutions and rules on ISDS.
